WMAwater has been commissioned by Warringah and Manly Council under the guidance of the Manly Lagoon Catchment Coordinating Committee to undertake the Manly Lagoon Floodplain
Risk Management Study and Plan. This study provides the basis for the future management of those parts of the catchment which are flood liable.

A key component of this process is the community consultation. To facilitate the consultation a website has been established at:

http://studies.wmawater.com.au/manly_lagoon/

As well as the website a formal newsletter has been produced and, as at 2016-04-11, is being distributed to residents.

Community consultation is an important component of the Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan process. The local knowledge of residents and business operators, and their personal experiences of flooding are an important source of information. We are particularly interested in your views on how flooding should be managed in your local area.
